Across India, paddy and wheat crops often look healthy till flowering. The crop grows well, panicles and ear heads form properly, and everything appears on track.

Yet at harvest, farmers frequently face:

Grain Filling: Where Yield Is Finally Decided

Grain filling is the stage when food produced through photosynthesis in the leaves, along with stored energy in the stem, move into the developing grains. filling them gradually until maturity.

This stage ultimately decides:

Grain weight
Grain size
Grain uniformity
Final marketable yield

What goes wrong under field conditions

Under Indian growing conditions, stresses such as heat, moisture imbalance, nutrient limita-tion, and hormonal imbalance often disturb this movement of sugars.

As a result, grains do not receive sufficient energy to fill completely even when the crop looks healthy from the outside. That is why grain filling is the most critical yield-deciding stage in paddy and wheat.

Mixing & Spraying Guidelines

Directions for use: To prepare the treatment solution, add the required amount of TopGrain® to a spray tank about half-filled with water. Agitate while bringing the total volume of water to the required level.

Mix throughly with agitation to completely dissolve the TopGrain® and then add non-ionic surfactant @0.5 mi/litre of water.
