Sugam - HERBICIDE

Systemic herbicide, absorbed by the roots and foliage. With translocation in the xylem and phloem and accumulation in the meristematic regions. It controls many grasses, broad leaf weeds and sedges.

Mode of action

It is selective and systemic herbicide of phenoxycarboxylic group.

It is a synthetic auxin (Plant Hormones) works by causing uncontrolled cell division. Abnormal increases in cell wall plasticity, biosynthesis of proteins, and production of ethylene occur in plant tissues which leads to uncontrolled cell division. These uncontrolled, unsustainable growth ensues, causing stem curl-over, leaf withering, and eventual plant death.

It has residual Control and kills both weeds that emerged as well as the ones that will emerge after a few days.
It gives early control of weeds hence no competition among weeds and Soybean crop which results in better yield.
It has green colour toxicity triangle i.e. safe to crops as well as mammals.
It is recommended for use in Soybean and Groundnut.
It is used for both narrow and broad leaf weeds.
It has no residual effect on succeeding crops.

Crop, Weed, Dose / Acre

Soybean

Weed: Cyperus difformis, Echinochloa colonum, E. crusgalli, Euphorbia hirta, Croton sperrsifeorus, Digera arvensis, Commelina benghalensis.
Dose / Acre: 400 ml

Groundnut

Weed: Cyperus difformis, Commelina benghalensis, Trianthema portulacasturm, Eragrostis pilosa.
Dose / Acre: 400-600 ml
