Sumitomo has launched a novel acaricide with dual mode of actions- an IGR actions that inhibits the growth and development of MITES (stops the Eggs & Nymphs to progress in next stage of life cycle of mite) and GABA stimulator that inhibits the nerve transmission and affects nervous system.

WHY PORTION?

Mites are piercing sucking insects, meaning they use specialized mouth parts to pierce plant cells and suck out the contents, such feeding disrupts the chlorophyll- containing cells in leaves, reducing the plant’s ability to perform photosynthesis.This impairs the crop’s capacity to produce energy and results in stunted growth & decrease in yield.

Farmers are using many acaricides to control this pest however faster multiplication in short period is a challenge to control it.

Since Adults & Nymphs cause significant damage by feeding, controlling both stages is extremely essential, hence Sumitomo Chemical India Limited introduced PORTION which is a single solution to control both nymph and adult stages of mites.
